Editorial Independence
A commission opportunity alone is not a reason to feature a product. Products must make sense for the story, edit or reader.
Editorial Standards
SeaEscape Well Styled is an independent, founder-led style publication created to help women over 40 discover polished, wearable fashion with confidence.
Every style edit, shopping guide and editorial feature begins with the same question: is this useful, relevant and appropriate for the SeaEscape reader?
Affiliate relationships can help support the publication, but they do not replace editorial judgment. My goal is to be clear about how products are selected, what has been personally experienced, and where commercial relationships may exist.
The Foundation
These standards apply across style edits, shopping content, editorial articles and product recommendations.
A commission opportunity alone is not a reason to feature a product. Products must make sense for the story, edit or reader.
SeaEscape looks for pieces that offer strong style potential, versatility, relevance, value or a distinctive point of view.
Affiliate links, gifted products, sponsorships and other material relationships are disclosed when applicable.
Editorial research and styling opinions are not described as firsthand use or testing unless that experience actually occurred.
Product Selection
SeaEscape is not built around featuring everything available from an affiliate retailer. Products are selected because they contribute to a useful style idea, solve a wardrobe need or fit the aesthetic and interests of the SeaEscape reader.
Selection may consider design, color, fabrication information, styling versatility, price point, retailer reputation, customer information, availability and how well a product works within an overall edit.
Price is not the deciding factor. SeaEscape may feature premium pieces as well as thoughtfully chosen lower-priced finds when they offer strong style or value.
How Recommendations Are Developed
Each edit or article starts with a wardrobe idea, trend, occasion, travel need or styling question.
Products may be researched across retailers, brands, affiliate platforms and current collections.
Pieces are narrowed according to editorial fit, styling potential, relevance and available product information.
Selected pieces are considered together as a complete outfit rather than simply presented as unrelated products.
When appropriate, SeaEscape explains why an item works and how it can fit within a polished, wearable wardrobe.
Commercial Relationships
SeaEscape may earn revenue through affiliate relationships and may occasionally consider gifted products or paid opportunities. Those relationships do not guarantee positive editorial coverage.
Some links on SeaEscape are affiliate links. If a reader makes an eligible purchase after using one of those links, SeaEscape may receive a commission from the retailer, generally at no additional cost to the reader.
A retailer or brand having an affiliate program does not automatically make its products appropriate for SeaEscape. Editorial fit remains the deciding factor.
Products received without charge may be considered for coverage, but receiving a product does not guarantee that it will appear on the site or receive favorable coverage.
SeaEscape may selectively consider paid collaborations. Sponsored or paid relationships will be identified when applicable, and SeaEscape retains control over whether an opportunity is an appropriate fit for the publication.
Compensation, samples or affiliate access do not purchase a guaranteed favorable opinion. SeaEscape does not promise positive coverage in exchange for a commercial relationship.
About Our Imagery
SeaEscape may use original compositions, styled editorial graphics, product imagery provided or made available by retailers, and AI-assisted or digitally created fashion imagery to communicate a styling concept.
Illustrative images are intended to show the overall mood, proportion or styling direction of an edit. They should not be treated as a guarantee of a product’s exact color, scale, texture, construction or fit in person.
When making a purchase decision, readers should rely on the product photographs, specifications, sizing information and other details supplied by the retailer or manufacturer at the linked product page.
Accuracy & Updates
Products, prices and inventory can change after an article or edit is published. SeaEscape aims to provide useful information while recognizing that retailer information is constantly changing.
No. Prices, promotions, shipping charges and discounts may change at any time. The price displayed by the retailer at the time of purchase is the controlling price.
Fashion inventory can change quickly. A product available when an edit is published may later sell out, change color availability or be discontinued. Where practical, SeaEscape may update links or recommend an alternative.
Yes. Retailers and manufacturers may update product names, specifications, colors, sizing, materials or other information after publication. Readers should verify current information on the retailer's product page before purchasing.
If a meaningful factual error is identified, SeaEscape will make a reasonable effort to correct or update the information. Minor formatting, spelling and presentation changes may be made without a separate correction notice.
Absolutely. If you notice an incorrect product link, inaccurate description or other factual issue, please contact SeaEscape so it can be reviewed.
No. Purchases are made directly from third-party retailers. Their pricing, shipping, returns, privacy practices, customer service and product fulfillment are governed by their own policies.
Editorial Judgment
Fashion is personal. SeaEscape's styling recommendations reflect an editorial point of view rather than a universal rule about what anyone should wear.
The goal is to provide inspiration, thoughtful options and a polished starting point that readers can adapt to their own wardrobes, bodies, budgets and lifestyles.
