Our accessibility commitment

SeaEscape Well Styled is committed to providing a website that is welcoming and usable for a broad range of readers, including people with visual, hearing, mobility, cognitive, neurological, and other disabilities.

Accessibility is an ongoing responsibility rather than a one-time project. As SeaEscape grows and new content is added, we aim to consider accessibility in our design, publishing, navigation, editorial, and technical decisions.

We aim to organize SeaEscape pages so that the relationship between headings, navigation, editorial content, links, buttons, and supporting information can be understood visually and programmatically.

SeaEscape is a highly visual fashion publication, but visual presentation should not unnecessarily interfere with a reader's ability to understand or navigate the website.

Our design approach aims to consider:

• sufficient contrast between important text and its background;
• layouts that reflow for smaller screens;
• the ability to use ordinary browser zoom;
• avoiding reliance on color alone to communicate essential information;
• clear visual distinction for interactive links and controls where appropriate; and
• adequate spacing around controls and interactive elements where practical.

Images, products & style edits

Fashion content depends heavily on photography and visual styling. We recognize that readers who cannot see an image, or cannot see it clearly, may need meaningful textual information about important visual content.

Where practical, we aim to provide alternative text for meaningful images that communicates the purpose or important content of the image rather than simply repeating surrounding text.

Decorative imagery may intentionally use empty or otherwise appropriate alternative text so that it does not create unnecessary repetition for screen reader users.

Interactive product images

Some SeaEscape style edits may include interactive product links, hotspots, image-based shopping features, or other visually positioned elements. We aim to provide associated product information and links in a form that does not require a reader to rely solely on the visual position of a hotspot.

If you encounter a style edit where product information cannot be accessed using your preferred technology, please let us know so we can review the page.

Keyboard access & focus

We aim for important navigation links, buttons, menus, and other interactive controls created by SeaEscape to be operable through a keyboard without requiring a mouse.

This includes consideration of:

• logical keyboard focus order;
• visible focus indicators;
• accessible mobile-navigation controls;
• avoiding keyboard traps; and
• allowing users to bypass repeated navigation through a skip-to-content link.

Browsers, devices & assistive technology

SeaEscape is designed for use on modern desktop, tablet, and mobile browsers.

Accessibility can depend on the combination of the website, browser, operating system, device settings, and assistive technology being used. Experiences may therefore differ between users and technologies.

For the best general experience, readers may find it helpful to use a current version of a mainstream web browser and keep their operating system and assistive technology reasonably up to date where possible.

However, a reader should not be required to purchase a particular assistive technology in order to contact SeaEscape for help accessing our content.

Known & potential limitations

SeaEscape includes links to independent retailers, brands, marketplaces, affiliate partners, social platforms, and other third-party websites and services.

We may also display or reference product imagery, embedded media, applications, widgets, or other material supplied or operated by third parties.

SeaEscape does not control the coding, accessibility features, policies, or ongoing operation of independent third-party websites.

Although we encourage accessible experiences throughout a reader's journey, accessibility limitations on an external retailer or third-party website should generally be reported to the operator of that service.

If a SeaEscape page prevents you from identifying or reaching a third-party product or resource, however, we welcome the opportunity to review our portion of that experience.

Accessibility is ongoing

Accessibility is part of the continuing maintenance and development of SeaEscape Well Styled.

As the website evolves, accessibility efforts may include:
